His Excellency the Pro-Chancellor Dr. K. Ponmudy

Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education Dr.K.Ponmudy is the Pro-Chancellor for Our University. He hails from the famous District of Villupuram. He has strong academic attainments having acquired Triple Master's Degree in History, Political Science and Public Administration, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor Degree in Education. He held Ministership twice for the Department of Health(1989) and the Department of Transport and Highways (1996) under the dynamic leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr.Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi. He has done extensive research leading to award of Doctorate Degree and has publications on "Dravidian Movement in India and Black Movement in the U.S.A." and has travelled America, Dubai, Australia and China. His keen interests in sports are Badminton and Shuttle Cock.
