Dr. T.Padmanaban
Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University

Dr. T.Padmanaban is the first Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, a first of its Kind University created exclusively for Teachers Education, by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

He is an able Teacher and an administrator with 29 years of experience.

He has significantly contributed in the field of Education and successfully completed many projects in the same field. He is an active member of many academic bodies and a Member of the Academic Council of Madras University, Annamalai University and Avinashilingam University for Women.

He is also a member of Board of Studies Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Maha Vidyalaya, Kanchipuram. Further, he is a Team Member of the NCTE which is the Apex body for granting institutional recognition for Teacher Education.

He has successfully guided 4 research students for award of degree leading to Ph.D. and 40 students for M.Phil. degree and more than 60 students for M.Ed., He has successfully conducted many Orientation and Refresher courses.

He has published 4 books. Further, he has published nearly 50 research papers in national journals and 5 articles in International journals. His unique publication of an academic Video Software Cassette for the benefit Directorate of Distance Education programme of Annamalai University and Bharathidhasan University is a well acclaimed tool for these institutions & students mass of Distance Education.
